Lake Francis Case is a reservoir 185 sq miles in size, located in S. central South Dakota, on the Missouri river. The reservoir was formed by the construction of the Fort Randall Dam in 1957. The Army Corps of Engineers built the dam for flood control, power generation, irrigation, navigation, and recreation.
